Meet the Pastor

Jamie Shurr is a highly creative and passionate motivational speaker. He is a graduate of World Impact Bible Institute with a Diploma of Biblical Study and has been an Ordained Pastor and Missionary for almost 30 years. 

He is a leader with a broad cultural perspective honed during many years of international assignments.  

Jamie is also highly energized by his work as an Emergency Responder. He is also a member of Emergency Response Team Search and Rescue, which is an international disaster response team. 

Jamie loves adventures in the outdoors with his wife Melanie including cycling, hiking, and canoeing. Jamie and Melanie have been married for nearly 30 years. 

Jamie and Melanie have 5 children (3 boys and 2 girls) and 3 granddaughters (which they love to spoil).

Jamie has been the Pastor of the Dwelling Place in Springvale since 2017 and continues to serve in the community.
